What “Source checked” means

NVIDIA published fiscal Q2 2027 results on August 26, 2026. The official table is recapped at /stories/nvidia-q2-fy2027-results. This page is the earnings-day watch sourced before that 8-K: the July 29 clocks, the May 20 Q1 baseline, and the dated Q2 outlook. NVIDIA had said it would discuss financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, which ended July 26, 2026, on a conference call Wednesday, August 26, at 2:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. ET), with written commentary from Colette Kress posted after results at approximately 1:20 p.m. PT.

The official print is now public. Fiscal year 2027 is not calendar 2026. The quarter ended July 26, 2026; the results date is August 26; the approximate results time was 1:20 p.m. PT; the call is 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET. Before that 8-K, the last official print was fiscal Q1 2027, released May 20, 2026: GAAP revenue of $81.615 billion and Data Center revenue of $75.2 billion. The May 20 outlook for Q2 revenue of $91.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, with no Data Center compute revenue from China assumed, remains NVIDIA’s language as of that date — a comparison object, not the August 26 print.

TickerGrove’s earlier schedule piece still holds the July 29 clocks. This page remains the pre-call watch: what the last issuer documents said before Exhibit 99.1. Treating the May 20 outlook as a reported quarter is still a category error. Official Q2 figures belong on the results recap.

The May 20 Q1 FY2027 release is the baseline this page documented, not a run-rate. GAAP revenue was $81.615 billion, up 20% from the prior quarter and 85% from a year earlier. Data Center revenue was $75.2 billion, up 21% sequentially and 92% year over year. Edge Computing, the other platform in NVIDIA’s Q1 reporting framework, was $6.4 billion, up 10% sequentially and 29% year over year. NVIDIA said it would report two market platforms — Data Center and Edge Computing — with Edge Computing covering data-processing devices for agentic and physical AI, including PCs, game consoles, workstations, AI-RAN, robotics and automotive. A standalone Gaming number is not how Q1 was presented.

Profitability needs the same care. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $2.39; non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $1.87. GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins were 74.9% and 75.0%. Those EPS figures are not interchangeable. NVIDIA also said it returned approximately $20.0 billion to shareholders in the first quarter and that, on May 18, 2026, the board approved an additional $80.0 billion share-repurchase authorization. The quarterly cash dividend increased from $0.01 per share to $0.25 per share. The May 20 outlook for fiscal Q2 2027 was revenue of $91.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, with no Data Center compute revenue from China assumed, and GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins of 74.9% and 75.0%, plus or minus 50 basis points. That language stays dated May 20, 2026.

A scheduled call is not a reported quarter

NVIDIA can tell investors when it will report before it reports. The date and time are checkable. The quarter’s revenue and earnings are not checkable until the results document is public. Until then, the last filed quarter is the baseline, and any outlook in that older release stays dated to that older release.

Keep the May 20 outlook on its as-of date

The $91.0 billion plus-or-minus 2% Q2 revenue outlook, the China Data Center compute assumption, and the margin and expense ranges are NVIDIA statements as of May 20, 2026. They are not consensus, not a TickerGrove model, and not the August 26 print. GAAP net income in Q1 was $58.321 billion while non-GAAP net income was $45.548 billion; Q1 other income is why those two profit lines should not be collapsed. Compare Q2, when it arrives, to the Q1 GAAP table and to whether the issuer still uses Data Center and Edge Computing.

What we do not know

This page is the pre-call watch, not the results recap. Q2 FY2027 figures belong on /stories/nvidia-q2-fy2027-results. This article still does not print a consensus estimate, a price target, a share-price move, or a recommendation.
