IPARLatest quote

Interparfums, Inc. reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of $430 million, unchanged from a year earlier, as growth in its European fragrance brands offset a 7% decline in U.S. based sales largely because of delayed giftset shipments. Nine-month sales rose 1% to $1.12 billion from $1.1 billion. The release carried sales figures only; profit, margins and per-share results are due with full third-quarter results on November 4, 2026.

European brands carry a flat quarter

European based net sales rose 4% to $306 million in the third quarter from $295 million a year earlier, a gain the release attributes to 3% organic growth and a 1% contribution from new brands, partly offset by a 1% foreign-exchange headwind; the release notes that its data may not foot due to rounding, and those stated components sum to 3%. Coach was the standout: fragrance sales rose 23% in the third quarter and 15% over the first nine months, helped by two line extensions launched earlier this year. Montblanc returned to growth with a 12% increase in the third quarter after flat second-quarter sales, and its nine-month sales rose 8%. Jimmy Choo added 1% in the quarter and 5% over nine months, while Lacoste rose 4% in the third quarter but remains 9% lower year to date after a difficult first half.

U.S. shipments slip as giftsets move into the fourth quarter

United States based net sales fell 7% to $127 million from $137 million. Jean Madar, chairman and chief executive, tied the decline to supply chain disruptions that delayed giftset shipments for select brands: “These delays represented approximately $10 million in sales, which will now be recognized in the fourth quarter. Excluding this impact, sales would have been flat.” Over nine months the segment grew 3% to $336 million from $327 million, and the company said sales would have risen 6% without the shipment delay. GUESS, the largest U.S. brand, rose 3% in the third quarter and 7% year to date. Donna Karan/DKNY fell 9% in the third quarter on innovation phasing and the shipment delays but grew 4% over nine months; Ferragamo dropped 22% in the third quarter and 2% year to date; Roberto Cavalli rose 4% and 6%. U.S. sales had climbed 18% in the second quarter, which the company attributed to “impressive organic growth of 17% off a challenging base in 2025”; for the third quarter it points to the shipment delay instead, saying sales would have been flat without it.

Nine-month growth, currency and the November 4 filing

Total net sales for the nine months ended September 30 reached $1.12 billion, up 1% from $1.1 billion, with European based sales at $789 million and U.S. based sales at $336 million, after $10 million of intercompany eliminations. European results are consolidated through 72% owned Interparfums SA. Sequentially, third-quarter sales were 26.1% above the $341 million booked in the second quarter, a smaller step than a year earlier, when third-quarter sales of $430 million were 28.74% above the $334 million booked in the second quarter of 2025. Currency cut both ways: the average dollar/euro rate was 1.15 in the third quarter versus 1.17 a year earlier, a 0.4% drag, while the nine-month average of 1.16 against 1.12 produced a 1.5% benefit. Madar said the war in the Middle East cost 1% of third-quarter sales and 2% of nine-month sales.

The filing is a net sales release, and it is silent on gross margin, operating profit, net income, per-share earnings and any updated full-year guidance. Full third-quarter results are scheduled for November 4, 2026, after the market close, with a conference call at 11:00 am ET on November 5, 2026. Until then the measurable question is how much of the roughly $10 million of delayed U.S. giftset sales lands in the fourth quarter, alongside a holiday season the chief executive framed this way: “we are encouraged by the trajectory of our business and maintain a measured but positive outlook for the balance of the year, 2027 and beyond.”
