Dycom Industries, Inc. (NYSE: DY) announced results for the second quarter ended August 1, 2026, in an August 26, 2026 press release and furnished the same day as Exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K (accession 0000067215-26-000039). Highlight contract revenues were $2.006 billion, up 45.6%, or 16.7% organically. The quarter’s results table prints $2,005.9 million versus $1,377.9 million a year earlier. Those are the same item at different printed precision.
What changed
The company is updating its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook and now expects contract revenues of $7.48 billion to $7.66 billion. Communications guidance now reflects the deferral of approximately $150 million of wireless program revenues into fiscal 2028; overall program scope is unchanged. The organic reconciliation removes $397,483 thousand of acquired-business revenues, equal to the entire Building Systems line, not the National Technology Integrators-only approximately $22.9 million. No prior-year numeric FY27 range is printed. A Form 10-Q for the quarter ended August 1, 2026 is not referenced as filed.
The IR HTML and Exhibit 99.1 match on the printed figures used here. The 8-K wrapper does not restate the tables; Item 2.02 incorporates the press release by reference and furnishes it, not files it. The condensed P&L prints contract revenues of $2,005,907 thousand versus $1,377,944 thousand. Headline $2.006 billion, table $2,005.9 million, and P&L $2,005,907 thousand are the same quarter stated three ways; this page does not convert one into the other. Non-GAAP Organic Contract Revenues were $1,608,424 thousand versus $1,377,944 thousand, or 16.7%. The release defines organic contract revenues as those from businesses included for the entirety of both the current and prior year periods.
Communications contract revenues were $1.608 billion, or $1,608,424 thousand in the segment table, up 16.7% organically. Building Systems were $397.5 million, or 397,483 thousand, versus a dash a year earlier. The company completed the acquisition of National Technology Integrators during the second quarter of fiscal 2027; the acquired business contributed approximately $22.9 million of revenue during the quarter. That approximately $22.9 million is not the sole driver of 45.6% versus 16.7% organic. GAAP diluted EPS was $3.81. Non-GAAP Adjusted Diluted EPS was $5.29. Non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA was $315.5 million, or 15.7% of contract revenues. Total backlog was $12.242 billion, up 53.2%; the results table prints $12,242.4 million.
The Fiscal 2027 Annual Outlook table, for the fiscal year ending January 30, 2027, prints contract revenues of $7.48 billion to $7.66 billion, Communications $5.90 billion to $6.01 billion, and Building Systems $1.58 billion to $1.65 billion. In Communications, total contract revenues now reflects the deferral of approximately $150 million of wireless program revenues into fiscal 2028. This page does not recompute that deferral against the Communications range. In Building Systems, the company is increasing its revenue outlook on Power Solutions and acquired revenues from National Technology Integrators. For the third quarter ending October 31, 2026, the company currently expects contract revenues of $1.90 billion to $1.98 billion, Non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA of $281 million to $302 million, and Non-GAAP Adjusted Diluted EPS excluding amortization of $4.33 to $4.79. Conference-call Q&A and Exhibit 99.2 slides were not used. A same-day $150 million repurchase authorization is a separate IR item and is not in this earnings print.
Headline billions and table millions can be the same quarter
Dycom printed contract revenues as $2.006 billion in the highlight and $2,005.9 million in the results table. Those are the same quarter at different precision. Total growth of 45.6% sits next to 16.7% organic growth because acquired Building Systems revenues are removed from the organic figure.
Keep the Building Systems plug off the NTI-only line
The organic recon removes $397,483 thousand of acquired revenues, equal to the Building Systems line. National Technology Integrators contributed approximately $22.9 million in the quarter; that is not the full plug. The raised $7.48–$7.66 billion FY27 outlook now reflects an approximately $150 million wireless deferral into fiscal 2028, with program scope unchanged. Do not invent a prior dollar guide.
What we do not know
This page does not invent a prior fiscal 2027 dollar range, treat approximately $22.9 million of NTI revenue as the sole driver of 45.6% versus 16.7% organic, or recompute the approximately $150 million wireless deferral against the $5.90–$6.01 billion Communications guide. It does not convert headline billions into table millions, invent a FY27 Adjusted EBITDA or EPS dollar guide, pack the same-day $150 million repurchase authorization, or invent earnings-call Q&A. A Form 10-Q for the quarter ended August 1, 2026 is not referenced as filed.
