Net income was $152.2, up 9.2%, and diluted earnings per share was $4.60, up 12.7%; all dollar amounts in this article are in millions unless noted. U.S. same-store sales growth drops to 0.3%

Domino's grew its global retail sales by 3.2% excluding currency effects in the third quarter of 2026, down from 6.3% a year earlier, and the slowdown was not confined to one region. U.S. same-store sales growth eased to 0.3% from 5.2%; international same-store sales, reported on a constant-dollar basis, advanced 0.2% against 1.7%; and international global retail sales growth, excluding currency effects, slowed to 4.3% from 5.7%. The company still added stores: 26 net openings in the U.S. and 149 internationally in the quarter, taking the system to 22,706 locations, including 7,257 in the U.S. Total global retail sales reached $4,840.4.

Supply chain and royalties lift operating profit

Total revenues rose 3.4% to $1,185.6 from $1,147.1 a year earlier. The release attributes the increase to higher supply chain revenues and higher global franchise royalty revenues, with the food basket price charged to U.S. stores up 2.2%. Supply chain gross margin widened 0.9 percentage points to 12.2%, which the company credits to procurement productivity. Income from operations rose 8.3% year over year to $241.8, and the company said that without a $200,000 negative currency effect on international royalty revenues the gain would have been 8.4%. Net income rose 9.2% to $152.2, and diluted earnings per share rose 12.7% to $4.60 from $4.08, helped by a smaller share count after buybacks.

A new chief executive and a higher dividend

The release carries a statement from Joe Jordan, who says he is stepping into the chief executive role; the earnings release a year earlier quoted Russell Weiner as chief executive. Jordan described his priority as “getting even closer to our customers, helping our franchisees grow their profitability and turning our best performance into our everyday performance.” The board declared a $1.99 per share quarterly dividend on October 6, 2026, payable December 30 to shareholders of record on December 15, compared with $1.74 a year earlier. Domino's also repurchased 216,282 shares for $73.6 million during the quarter and 848,503 shares for $304.9 million across three fiscal quarters, leaving $1.15 billion of authorization.

Leverage and free cash flow

Nine-month figures extend the pattern, all stated in millions: revenue of $3,530.6 against $3,404.3, net income of $427.7 against $420.1, and diluted earnings per share of $12.80 against $12.22. The leverage ratio fell to 4.2x from 4.5x. Free cash flow for the first three fiscal quarters was $459.8 million against $495.6 million, as net cash from operating activities eased to $520.6 million from $552.3 million and capital expenditures rose to $60.8 million from $56.7 million. Domino's attributed the decline to the timing of advertising payments and to changes in operating assets and liabilities, partly offset by higher income from operations.

What the release does not settle

The company said it would file its quarterly report on Form 10-Q the same day and hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. Eastern to discuss the results, where management may address the U.S. same-store sales trend. The Form 8-K Exhibit 99.1 filed October 13, 2026 contains no full-year outlook or analyst estimates, and the company stated that the historical data “is not necessarily indicative of results to be expected for any future period.” International same-store sales across the first three fiscal quarters were slightly negative.
