Citius Oncology (Nasdaq: CTOR) said U.S. wholesalers purchased 792 LYMPHIR units in the three months ended September 30, 2026, a 120% increase from 360 units in the prior quarter, while vials ordered by prescribing centers rose 2.59% to 950. The release disclosed no revenue, earnings or cash figures for the quarter.

Wholesaler sell-in doubles while center orders barely move

The 120% figure measures units that U.S. wholesalers bought from Citius Oncology, not vials used at treatment centers. Wholesaler orders are the trigger for revenue under the company's accounting, so the number is a sell-in measure. The closest disclosed proxy for end demand — vials ordered by prescribing centers from wholesalers — rose 2.59% sequentially, to 950 vials from 926 vials.

The two series have moved very differently. In the June quarter, wholesalers bought 360 units while centers ordered 926 vials; in the September quarter they bought 792 units while centers ordered 950 vials. That pattern is consistent with distributors adding stock earlier in the year and drawing some of it down since, though the release does not disclose wholesaler inventory levels.

Management tied the shipment gain to field coverage. Chief Executive Leonard Mazur said “Unit sales to wholesalers more than doubled as our expanded commercial team reached nationwide coverage in August”. The release adds that “The Company recognizes revenue when wholesaler orders are fulfilled” and that revenue follows units sold to wholesalers rather than institutional vial orders.

The June quarter's revenue base and a November runway

The last reported financials frame the unit numbers. In the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Citius Oncology recorded net product revenue of $1,493,788, after $214,772 of gross-to-net adjustments against $1,708,560 of gross product revenue, with gross profit at approximately 67% of product revenue. Net loss for that quarter was $8,923,846, and the nine-month net loss reached $41,067,610.

Cash and working capital tell a different story than the shipment series. The quarterly report filed August 14, 2026, showed $16,563,705 of cash at June 30, 2026 and negative working capital of $16.1 million, and said management expected funds to last through November 2026. The filing said “We will need to raise additional capital to support our operations beyond November 2026, which raises substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern”. The term loan makes up to $7.0 million available between October 1 and December 31, 2026 if net revenue and liquidity milestones are met, which ties shipment volume to funding.

December's 10-K and the formulary target

Citius Oncology called the unit data preliminary and unaudited and said its auditors had not reviewed them. The figures were filed as Exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K on October 26, 2026. Complete fiscal fourth-quarter and fiscal 2026 results are due in December 2026 with the annual report, which will be the first disclosure of September-quarter revenue.

The operating target is formulary placement at 100 priority institutions by calendar year-end. Mazur said the company is “now more than halfway” to that goal, and the release reports 54 institutions having ordered LYMPHIR, up 22.73% from 44 as of August 14, 2026. Ordering is not the same as formulary listing: no formulary count is disclosed, so the half-way claim cannot be checked against the target itself.

The release also cites reliance on third-party logistics providers, distributors and specialty pharmacies, the need to secure a new bulk drug substance supplier, and the company's effort to regain compliance with Nasdaq continued listing standards. Management estimates the initial CTCL market for LYMPHIR exceeds $400 million.
