Cisco fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter and full-year earnings release published August 12, 2026.
Cisco reported $17.252 billion of revenue for the quarter ended July 25, 2026, up 18% year over year. Product revenue increased 24% to $13.459 billion while services revenue was approximately flat at $3.793 billion.
Networking revenue increased 28% to $9.791 billion. GAAP operating margin was 24.7% and diluted EPS was $0.97, up 52%. Cisco said it took $4 billion of AI infrastructure orders in the quarter, bringing fiscal-year orders to $9.3 billion, and recognized approximately $4 billion of AI revenue during fiscal 2026.
Orders and revenue are different accounting objects. An order indicates customer commitment under stated terms; revenue is recognized as Cisco delivers products and satisfies the accounting requirements. The company’s expectation of approximately $7.5 billion in fiscal 2027 AI revenue is forward-looking, not part of the $17.252 billion reported quarter.
The quarter’s growth was concentrated in products. Networking supplied more than half of company revenue and increased 28%, Security increased 14% and Collaboration increased 12%. Services being flat means the 18% consolidated increase was not broad across every revenue type.
Cisco guided fiscal first-quarter 2027 revenue to $18.0–$18.2 billion and GAAP EPS to $1.08–$1.10. For full-year 2027 it guided revenue to $72.2–$73.4 billion. Those ranges frame management’s expectations but do not convert the order book into guaranteed revenue.
Orders are not revenue
A customer order can indicate demand before the seller has delivered the product. Accounting revenue arrives only when the performance obligation is satisfied under the applicable rules.
Product growth carried the quarter
Product revenue increased 24%, services was flat and Networking increased 28%. The AI disclosures include reported revenue, current orders and next-year expectation; each belongs on a different clock.
What we do not know
Cisco does not guarantee that orders will convert on the expected schedule or that fiscal 2027 guidance will be achieved. This article does not estimate cancellation risk, margins on AI systems or a valuation.
