ArriVent doses first patient with ARR-002, its second ADC to enter the clinic
The Phase 1 U.S. study evaluates ARR-002 in ovarian and endometrial cancer. ArriVent reported $373.1 million of cash and investments at June 30, 2026, and the October 13 filing carries no quarterly results.

ArriVent BioPharma's Form 8-K filed October 13, 2026 with Exhibit 99.1 dated October 12, 2026, and its second-quarter 2026 results release filed August 12, 2026; no third-quarter 2026 financial results were filed.
ArriVent BioPharma dosed the first patient in a U.S. Phase 1 trial of ARR-002, a dual-target antibody-drug conjugate for ovarian and endometrial cancer, and filed the announcement as Exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K on October 13, 2026 that contains no third-quarter 2026 financial results. The company's last financial anchor remains June 30, 2026, when it reported cash and investments of $373.1 million expected to fund operations into 2028 and a six-month net loss of $93.2 million, narrower than the $95.8 million loss a year earlier.
ArriVent BioPharma's October 13 filing announces a clinical step rather than a quarter. The Form 8-K carries Item 7.01 regulation-FD disclosure and Item 8.01 other events, and its only exhibit is a press release dated October 12, 2026 about the first patient dosed with ARR-002 in the United States. There is no income statement, no cash-flow statement, no per-share amount and no revised outlook anywhere in the document, and no third-quarter 2026 financial results were filed with it.
A trial milestone printed on an 8-K
The 8-K's Item 7.01 text describes one event: ArriVent dosed its first patient with ARR-002 in the Phase 1 trial in the U.S., a study the exhibit identifies by the registry number NCT07755436 and describes as an evaluation of safety, tolerability, efficacy and pharmacokinetics in advanced or metastatic ovarian or endometrial cancer. Item 8.01 then pulls the release into the other-events disclosure, but not the whole release — the clause excludes “the second and third paragraphs thereof,” the two paragraphs that carry the scientific rationale in ArriVent's own words. What the other-events item adopts, in effect, is the fact of dosing and the corporate descriptions, not the argument for the design.
Two antigens that single-target conjugates can miss
“Both MUC16 and NaPi2b are highly over-expressed in ovarian and endometrial cancer,” said Stuart Lutzker, MD, Ph.D., ArriVent's president of research and development. He added that “the dual targeting approach of ARR-002 is designed to overcome a key limitation of single-target ADCs” in tumors where “target expression can be heterogenous and can limit effective payload delivery to all tumor cells.” The exhibit describes the molecule as a tetravalent 2+2 conjugate that carries its payload through site-specific conjugation to vcMMAE at a drug-to-antibody ratio of 4. The mechanism the company is claiming is straightforward: where ovarian and endometrial tumors express MUC16 and NaPi2b unevenly, a conjugate that binds both should reach more tumor cells than one that binds either alone. ArriVent also points to preclinical work presented at the 2026 AACR meeting, abstract 2260, which it says showed the design outperformed bivalent conjugates and that the site-specific chemistry improved its stability profile.
A second ADC in the clinic and an August China license
“We are pleased to have dosed our first patient with ARR-002, our second ADC from our portfolio to enter the clinic,” Lutzker said. The exhibit names no predecessor; the company's second-quarter release shows ARR-217, a CDH17-targeted conjugate, advancing through gastrointestinal cancer studies, and it records two further steps behind ARR-002: an investigational new drug application cleared by the Food and Drug Administration in May 2026, and an August 2026 exclusive license that handed the Greater China rights — mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan — to Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., while ArriVent kept every other territory.
The last balance sheet still carries the runway
ArriVent's most recent financial disclosure is more than two months older than this filing. At June 30, 2026 the company reported cash and investments of $373.1 million and said the total is expected to fund operations into 2028; the balance sheet behind that figure presents its amounts in thousands, so the runway statement is the company's own rounding of a table printed in thousands. The six-month net loss was $93.2 million, a little narrower than the $95.8 million loss a year earlier, and six-month research and development expense fell to $80.0 million from $89.0 million, a 10.1% decline. Nothing in the October 13 filing updates any of those numbers, and the document discloses no third-quarter cash balance or burn rate.
Dates to check and the quarter this filing leaves out
Two dated items sit on the company's own calendar, both from the August release: topline data from the global pivotal FURVENT Phase 3 trial of firmonertinib in first-line EGFR exon 20 insertion mutant non-small cell lung cancer are anticipated in the second half of 2026, and initial Phase 1 data for ARR-217 are planned for a future medical conference. The ARR-002 exhibit sets no date for its own readout and gives no enrollment target. The document a reader should wait for is the quarter itself: ArriVent's third-quarter 2026 results release, not yet published, where an updated cash figure and any change to the 2028 runway claim would appear.
