ARMOUR Residential REIT will publish third-quarter 2026 results after the close on October 21 and host its analyst call at 8:00 a.m. Eastern on October 22, a filing on Tuesday showed, with the announcement itself carrying no quarterly figures. The last reported quarter produced GAAP net income of $111.5 million, or $0.86 per common share, and net interest income of $76.8 million.
ARMOUR Residential REIT, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under ARR and ARR-PRC, filed the notice as Exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K on Tuesday. The document sets two dates and a webcast link; it contains no third-quarter 2026 revenue, earnings, book value or dividend figures and no forecast. “The Company will issue its third quarter 2026 earnings release after the close of trading on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.” The analyst call is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. Eastern on October 22.
A webcast notice rather than the quarter's results
The operative content is the calendar: a live call, an online replay that ARMOUR says will remain on its website for one year, and an investor contact at its Vero Beach, Florida headquarters. The exhibit is a short announcement, and it runs to a single page. Because no financial statements accompany it, the notice cannot establish how the September quarter performed, what book value did, or whether the monthly dividend was covered. Those answers depend on the earnings release after the close on October 21 and the call the following morning.
The second-quarter base the call will be measured against
ARMOUR's last full report, for the quarter ended June 30, showed GAAP net income related to common stockholders of $111.5 million, or $0.86 per common share, and net interest income of $76.8 million. Net interest income rose 8.63% from $70.7 million in the first quarter, a sequential comparison. Total economic return, which the company defines as the change in book value plus common dividends paid, was 4.8%. Distributable earnings available to common stockholders were $93.2 million, or $0.72 per common share, matching the $0.72 per share of dividends paid for the quarter at $0.24 per share per month. Book value per common share was $17.53 at June 30, up 0.6% from $17.42 at March 31. The portfolio totaled $21.8 billion, leverage was 7.54:1, and liquidity was $1.2 billion. ARMOUR also raised $218.7 million by selling common stock through an at-the-market program.
Why the dividend is the number the call has to defend
ARMOUR is externally managed and invests mainly in Agency mortgage-backed securities, so earnings depend on the spread between asset yields and repo funding costs and on the hedges that offset rate moves. In the second quarter, swap gains more than offset mark-to-market losses on mortgage bonds, lifting GAAP net income above net interest income. Distributable earnings, a non-GAAP measure the company says its board may consider when setting the payout, is the figure to compare with the $0.24 monthly dividend. Chief Executive Scott Ulm said in the July release that the company will “continue to prioritize maintaining common share dividends appropriate for the intermediate term rather than focusing on short-term market fluctuations.” The October 22 call is the first scheduled forum since that statement.
Three comparisons the October 21 release must settle
Book value per common share against $17.53 is the first, because a decline would leave less equity behind each share and push leverage higher for a given portfolio. Distributable earnings per common share against $0.72 and the $0.72 per share paid for the second quarter is the second, because a shortfall would put the $0.24 monthly rate under scrutiny. Portfolio size and the 7.54:1 debt-to-equity ratio are the third, because a larger book funded with more repurchase debt would magnify both the carry and the mark-to-market swings. The notice provides no consensus estimate, no guidance and no September 30 data, so none of those comparisons can be resolved before the release.
