Tootsie Roll third-quarter net earnings fall 35% from a year earlier as costs bite
Net sales slipped 1% to $227,163,000 while net earnings fell to $23,216,000, or $0.31 a share, as cocoa, packaging and freight costs rose and advertising was concentrated in the third quarter.
